I have been a long time Evernote user. However, it wasn’t until recently that I really began making the most of what the app has to offer. There have been many improvements to the platform over the last year that have made it more fun to use and a better tool to keep me organized.
How Do I Use Evernote?
I use Evernote for a wide range of tasks:
- Draft blog posts (like this one)
- Keep track of ideas when I don’t have a physical notebook handy
- As a bookmark tool to track websites, design ideas, etc that I want to reference later
- Grocery lists that I can check off, using the checkbox feature
- Document and receipt filing, using the camera
The list goes on and on. Evernote’s versatility makes it a great productivity tool for both personal and business use. The automatic sync between my desktop, iPhone and iPad is also a huge plus. I know that no matter where I create, my notes and ideas will be in the location that I need to reference them next.
It Keeps Getting Better
The addition of of the Evernote Market offers the ability to purchase a wide range of useful physical products that expand the usability of Evernote. I would like to add the scanner from the market to further simplify my life and get rid of paper altogether. While I still use the free version, I’m also considering upgrading to Evernote Premium in the near future. This version adds expanded functionality and versatility over the free version. In an effort to organize my traditionally creative mind, Evernote has been a great asset. I highly recommend this platform.
